Factory Prorated Window & Door Warranty
Cornerstone Windows, Inc. warrants to you, the original purchaser of Dreamspace Replacement Windows and/or Sliding Glass Doors, that these products will be free from detects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, except for moving parts, and insulating glass, for as long as you own the home in which the products were installed.

Basic Product Unit - Lifetime
The rigid vinyl in the product is warranted against chipping, cracking, peeling, pitting, or blistering, for as long as you own and re- side in the house in which those products were installed. This limited warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, fire, hail, flood, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, normal weathering or other external forces.

Wood Laminates - Twenty Years
DreamWood and wood laminate products are warranted against chipping, cracking, peeling, pitting, or blistering, for a period of twenty years provided the instructions for care are followed. This limited warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, fire, hail, flood, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, or other external forces.

Moving Parts - Lifetime
Moving parts, such as balances that are used on double hung products and locking mechanisms, are warranted for as long as you own and reside in the house in which the products were installed. This limited warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, fire, flood, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, or other external forces. This warranty does not apply to solid brass hardware. (See under Color).

Fiberglass Screens - Lifetime
The materials used in manufacturing screens are warranted for as long as you own and reside in your present home. This warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, fire, flood, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, or other external forces, and the warranty shall be limited to providing you with new screen material and/or frames or spline for any manufacturing defect in the screen.

Insulating Glass - 30 Years
The sealed insulating glass unit is warranted against defects resulting in material obstruction of vision from film formation caused by dust or moisture in the dead air space of the sealed unit for a period of 30 years from the date of installation. Small marks, scratches and spots which do not exceed our company standards or federal government specifications DD-04516 do not make insulating glass units defective. Should the glass fail after year 10 as a result of defects described above, then Thermal Industries, Inc. will charge you a fixed percentage of the company’s selling price for insulating glass at that time, according to the following formula:

Years 10 through 15 - 50%
Years 16 through 20 - 70%
Years 21 through 25 - 80%
Years 26 through 30 - 90%

Procedure
The procedure for obtaining performance of the product obligation is simple. If any part of the product described above should fail, just forward that part prepaid to our nearest distribution center as noted below. Upon inspection of this part to make sure it failed because of manufacturing defect, a new re- placement part will be forwarded to you at no charge. Replacement parts furnished may vary somewhat in appearance due to possible design modifications. However, some parts of a window/door such as insulating glass or structural vinyl members are impractical to ship to our distribution center for inspection. Therefore, to obtain satisfaction of warranty claims for those products, visual inspection will be made by a representative of Cornerstone Windows, Inc. If inspection substantiates that the material has failed and is covered under the warranty, a replacement part will be shipped to the designated distribution center closest to you at no extra charge, except for the freight involved. Then your obligation is to pick up the part at the designated distribution center. Neither Cornerstone Windows, Inc. nor its distributors, unless indicated otherwise by them, will be liable for any labor involved in replacing any parts de- scribed in this warranty. This life-of-your- home limited warranty is made in lieu of all other express warranties, and is extended to the original purchaser. In no event shall Cornerstone Windows, Inc. be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages or for any delays in the performance of this warranty due to circumstances beyond its control.

Condensation
Condensation on glass is the natural result of excessive moisture in the house and does not indicate a defective product or faulty installation. Additional information is available upon request.

Color
The vinyl will maintain its color as it ages; however, atmospheric pollution and residues deposited on the windows can discolor it. Mild soaps or detergents are usually all that is necessary to restore its color. Solid brass hardware will tarnish over time. To maintain its beauty refer to care instructions received with the product.

Caulking
On some installation, caulking is used to seal the frame or trim package against water or air penetration. Caulking is not considered part of the window/door, and therefore, is not covered under this warranty. Caulking is normally considered a maintenance responsibility of the home-owner.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts; and some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential dam- ages or the limitation of remedies for breach of warranty so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

The limited warranty for DreamWood is twenty years provided instructions for care are followed. The DGT 50 model is not covered under this warranty.
